Myrtle October

Our new MC Myrtle October was born in FL, but raised in NY. For the love of music, people, and collaboration! Myrtle is a perfect match for The First Jamaican owned FCC license Radio Station in the US! SUGA 95.7 FM WSGD-LP.

She has a master’s degree in public administration, but before all that! She comes to us with an Associates in Applied Science from Onondaga Community College in Electronic Media Communications, (2002). She first started with radio as an intern for WAER (88.3 FM) in Syracuse, New York. It is located on the campus of Syracuse University, and is a part of the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. 

She debuted on television while working at WTVH 5, opened for popular and famous industry talents and recently she was divinely called to the stage again from having been in an on-stage performance in NY, state show entitled “Sista’s in the City” with the “Paul Robinson Performing Arts Theatre” and recently was one of four other featured woman in a play entitled “Sistah’s: The Musical.” with the “Laboratory Theatre”. She is every woman and everyone’s sista to all those she meets. 

And She can sang!!!!! She can dance and she can act!!! Making her an all around excellent communicator of the arts with the ability to collaborate with the community. In her full-time role as a independent medicare advantage plan specialist. She also is a financial advisor for a variety of investment products to build generational wealth. Her favorite part of her career is direct care with beneficiaries, so they gain equal access to all that is there’s to have, so they can live their best life! We are proud to have her join our team because we have watched her make boss moves professionally in the community and know she is going to be just what our station needs.

MC Myrtle October is coming to you live each day to bring you information from the nation! Rock with me as I talk about Vaccine Equity between 10:00 and 10:30am. 

Cruise with me through the oldies, but goodies Caribbean and american hits while we discuss the tea of health insurance from  10:30-11:00. Then lets coast with meditation music and discussion while we discover ourselves as the caregiver and strong friend, from 11:00 to 11:30pm. 

We then take a deep dive into our culture or community or clubs which could mean service club or the hottest clubs to unwind in lee county. Stay tuned-in while I welcome my local business friends a power hour of entrepreneurial advice and tips for winning in these streetz. And that’s not all, where would we be, without a segment on the incarceration conversation, from 1:00 to 1:30pm. 

And finally, our mystery half hour to see what to learn from and grow from as well we use this time to connect with you in some way our higher power divinely states.
