Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Mikey B’s radio journey began with a childhood dream, spinning records in his home after school and telling his siblings he’d be on the air one day. After migrating to Miami in 1979, that dream became a reality. Mikey honed his craft in local clubs and parties before earning his FCC license and landing on WKAT 1360 AM. When the station’s format changed, he found his new home at WAVS 1170 AM, where he has been a staple since 1989.
Now, as the voice behind The Suga Morning Show on Suga 95.7 FM, Mikey B brings knowledge, charisma, and over three decades of radio experience to every broadcast—keeping you informed, entertained, and connected to the Caribbean heartbeat of Florida.
