19-year-old Sheku Kanneh-Mason stunned the Royal Wedding attendees May 20, 2018 after his musical performance. He opened with Sicilienne and Apres Un Reve by artists Maria Theresa Von Paradis and Gabriel Faure. He later closed with Ave Maria by Franz Schubert.

Mason emphasized his gratitude by tweeting a special thanks to the royal couple. “It was such an awesome moment – just really incredible to perform for Prince Harry and Meghan at their wedding!  The atmosphere was amazing and I’m proud to have played a small part in the celebrations.  It’s a day I will remember for the rest of my life,” (Red Carpet Shelley).

This recognition has lead Mason to nearly 90,000 Twitter followers along with guest appearances for BBC, CBS, Access Hollywood, and Entertainment Tonight. Even his debut album, Inspiration, has re positioned to fourth place in the Top Classical Albums Chart.

Mason first became musically inclined when he was six years old playing cello. His parents, Stuart Mason, and Sierra Leonan, taught him and his six other siblings. Later, they performed for Britain’s Got Talent and were named ‘The Most Talented Family in the World.

Mason earned the BBC Young Musician Award in 2016 and will continue proving his worth.
