Grammy Award Winner earns place on the Caribbean Wall of Fame

Singer and song writer, Maxwell,received recognition for his extraordinary talent June 29, 2018.

Three singles from his four developed albums helped him become a tribute to the Caribbean Wall of Fame. Ascension, the second single to his first album Urban Hang Suite earned Maxwell a gold record and Grammy nomination. Embrya, his second album, had Fortunate featured where he received Hit of the Year for Billboard in 1999. Pretty Wings from the Black Summer’s Night album allowed Maxwell to win a Grammy award in Best Male R & B Vocal Performance for 2010.

Maxwell lost his father when he was three and heavily relied on the impact of the church to produce music. There, he taught himself how to compose music and play instruments.

It wasn’t until 1994 when he cosigned with Columbia records to produce the album work he has been gifted with today.
