Brooklyn hosts 9th Season of Reggae on the Boardwalk

The annual Coney Island: Reggae on the Boardwalk event will be returning August 5, 2018 and September 9, 2018.

Over 30 vendors have registered for this year’s event. Some selected are: Jah Wise, Sir Tommy, Selecta Twice, and the Culture Cartel with Vaughn Allstar and Joseph Dimension.

The chairman and spokesperson for the event, Carter Van Pelt, has been receiving donations from the Brooklyn Arts Council and VP Records to help promote his devotion for the Jamaican culture.

“There is nothing else in the world like Jamaican music, from ska to rock steady, reggae, all coming through the dancehall up to today. It’s an endless fascination, and Reggae On The Boardwalk has been the best way to share my passion with the Brooklyn and greater New York community,”(Red Carpet Shelley).

This event first begun in June 2010 and continues to be a huge success.It will be located on West 20th Street in Brooklyn, New York from 3 to 7 pm.
